Christian "Chucho" Benítez, also known as Chucho, was an Ecuadorian professional footballer who played as a striker. He was born on May 1, 1986, in Quito, Ecuador, and passed away on July 29, 2013, at the age of 27.

Benítez began his professional career with Ecuadorian club El Nacional before moving to Mexico to play for Santos Laguna, Club América, and Club Tijuana in the Liga MX. He also had a brief stint in Europe with Birmingham City in the English Premier League.
